Hesong Tang

Prior to founding Xiang He Capital, Mr. Tang was the former Vice President of Baidu, where he was fully in charge of Strategic M&A and Investments and led a series of landscape changing deals in China's internet industry at that time, including Baidu's acquisition of 91 Wireless ($1.9B), control investment into Qunar ($306mm), investment in iQiyi, acquisition of PPS ($370mm), and acquisition of Nuomi, etc., which was record-setting in China both in terms of total amount of investments and total number of investments. Prior to Baidu, Mr. Tang was the Director of Strategic Investment at Microsoft Greater China and he also worked at Cisco, Applied Materials, etc.. Mr. Tang teaches MBA courses and is also the academic advisor for graduate students at PBC School of Finance (a.k.a. Wudaokou) of Tsinghua University. Mr. Tang holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Engineering from Tsinghua University, an MBA degree from the University of Chicago, and an MPA degree from Harvard Kennedy School.
